Most clients see improvements after a single session, but a course of 3–4 treatments spaced a few weeks apart is ideal for long-term results.
Most patients experience some mild flaking in the first week at worst. You may experience some mild redness or sensitivity during this time also.
The procedure is very much like a facial, the skin is cleansed, several layers of product are applied to the skin and allowed to sit and take effect. The peel layer can cause a few minutes of heat and irritation, which is usually very mild. If you have prepped your skin with AlumierMD skincare prior to your peel, you are less likely to experience discomfort.
One of the benefits of our corrrective peels is minimal downtime — you can usually return to your daily routine immediately although you should avoid any activities that make you very hot and sweaty for 48 hours as this can impact on the results and your recovery.
